Red Oak, in partnership with Save the Children International and with the support of LHF - UNOCHA Lebanon, recently concluded a transformative project supporting children’s education, well-being, and protection. Through targeted academic, psychosocial, case management interventions, and caregiver engagement, many children and families have experienced inspiring progress. Here are some of their stories:

Education Success Stories
Our education program helped children build confidence, improve academically, and develop positive social skills. For example:

  • Sinava, 13, overcame earlier struggles to now actively contribute in class and complete assignments on time.

  • Mohamad, 12, transformed from reacting with anger to resolving conflicts calmly after attending Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions.

  • Yazan, 12, improved his English writing skills through tailored guidance and practice.

  • Ayan, 12, went from failing math exams to achieving excellent grades with consistent support.

Case Management Success Story

Our case management team supported a 10-year-old child involved in labor that affected his education and well-being. Through parenting training, awareness sessions, and financial support, the family shifted dynamics. The child reduced and eventually stopped working, focusing fully on school and thriving academically.

Child Protection Success Stories
The HEART program’s creative activities have helped children find their voice, build trust, and develop empathy:

  • A shy 10-year-old girl who initially withdrew now confidently shares her artwork and participates actively.
  • A young boy learned to manage his time better and take pride in completing his projects.
  • Another child who previously bullied peers came to understand kindness through interactive lessons, becoming more respectful and aware of his actions.

Caregivers’ Perspectives
Caregivers also reported noticeable positive changes in their children’s motivation, behavior, and confidence. They expressed gratitude for the calm, patient support their children received and the reassurance of seeing academic and social improvements firsthand
