Red Oak Laureate: Winner of “Sahtak bi Idak – Your Health is in Your Hands”
Winner of the “Sahtak bi Idak – Your Health is in Your Hands” program, launched by the French Embassy in Lebanon and La Guilde, this project is led by Red Oak in partnership with Ciela Academy, the Chouf National College, Scale, and the Tripoli Disabled Sports Association.
The project aims to promote inclusion, mental well-being, and accessibility through circus arts, adapted sports, and awareness activities in the Chouf region. Guided by the values of cooperation, respect, and equality, it encourages participation from women, youth, and people with disabilities, fostering self-expression, autonomy, and social connection.
Activities include inclusive circus workshops, adaptive sports sessions (including wheelchair basketball), art and sensory workshops, and Disability Equality Training (DET). These experiences allow participants to move, create, and connect in a welcoming, accessible environment.
By leveraging local infrastructure and expert guidance, Bodies in Motion, Hearts in Connection builds a more inclusive, resilient community where everybody has a place, and every heart finds connection.
