A New Partnership with the Memory of Time Museum
Red Oak is excited to announce a new partnership with the Memory of Time Museum in Byblos, Lebanon. This collaboration aims to make Lebanon’s rich cultural and natural heritage accessible to blind and visually impaired persons through inclusive, hands-on experiences.
As part of this partnership, Red Oak organized a special visit to the Memory of Time Museum for students from Al Hadi Institute who are blind and visually impaired. The visit was conducted in the presence of the Red Oak team and the students’ educational staff. This marked our first collaboration with this remarkable museum, following previous inclusive visits to the National Museum of Beirut and MACAM.
The Memory of Time Museum is home to rare Lebanese fossils preserved since the 1930s. Through the DOORS. PLEASE TOUCH project—launched by Red Oak in 2018 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the Omero Museum of Italy—students were able to explore these fossils through touch, discovering Lebanon’s natural heritage in a completely new and meaningful way.
We look forward to welcoming more groups in the future and continuing to develop accessible and tactile cultural experiences.
