GBV Awareness Session in Saida
The workshop continues!
Our Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness session organized took place this time at Ahlouna Association in Saida, gathering women from the community.
The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of GBV, its causes, and ways to prevent it. The analysis showed a remarkable improvement in participants’ knowledge, particularly in identifying the different types of GBV, understanding its root causes, and recognizing effective behaviors to prevent violence.
Feedback from participants was very positive: they appreciated the interactive approach, felt more aware of women’s rights, and expressed a desire for more sessions on the topic. They also suggested distributing informational materials about local organizations supporting GBV survivors in Saida.
Throughout the session, the Alissar team ensured a smooth and supportive environment, helping participants feel safe, engaged, and empowered.
This workshop is implemented by Red Oak in partnership with Alissar and with the support of the OIF (Organisation internationale de la Francophonie).
