Crochet and Woolen Toy Stand at the Aley International Festival

From July 17 to 20, RedOak Association proudly took part in the Aley International Festival with a 4-day stand showcasing the handmade creations of women trained through our crochet and embroidery workshops in Baaloul, West Bekaa.

This initiative is part of the “Transforming the Future in Bekaa through Professional & Digital Skills.” project, supported by La Francophonie avec Elles and implemented in partnership with La Guilde. The program trained 50 Lebanese and Syrian women, all beginners, in essential skills such as crochet, embroidery, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship.

At the festival, visitors discovered a vibrant collection of handcrafted items, including woolen toys, embroidered cushions, protocol gifts, and unique purses — each piece reflecting the talent, creativity, and resilience of our women artisans.

We are proud to report that up to 100 pieces were sold throughout the event — a wonderful achievement that underscores the importance of supporting women’s work and local production.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited our booth, engaged with our mission, and helped celebrate the power of women’s skills and creativity.
