Red Oak Participates in Social Exhibition for the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
On October 17, 2025, Red Oak proudly took part in a Social Exhibition held at the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Bourj Hammoud. This meaningful event was organized at the initiative of the Bourj Hammoud Municipality to mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, and took place under the patronage of His Excellency, the Governor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Mohammad Makawi.
Bringing together a range of social organizations from Bourj Hammoud and Sin El Fil, the exhibition served as a platform for NGOs to present their missions, initiatives, and services to the wider public. The event aimed to raise awareness about poverty, promote social solidarity, and encourage community engagement.
Red Oak had the opportunity to host a stand and connect with visitors, introducing them to our programs and the impact of our work. One of Red Oak's core missions is inclusion — a value reflected even within our own team. Our member, Rana, who is blind, proudly represented Red Oak at the event, using her Perkins Brailler to engage and communicate.
We were honored to be among such dedicated organizations all working toward building a more inclusive and just society. We thank the organizers and all participants for making this event a success — and look forward to continuing our mission in collaboration with our community partners.
